Dementia Trust New Website Launch

We are delighted to announce the launch of a brand-new website for the Dementia Trust. This is giving us the opportunity to raise the profile of our charity that has been working for almost 35 years to improve the lives of people affected by dementia.

Included in the new trust website is some of the material which shows work done in the past through our Dementia Disruption Awards, and links to the brilliant organisations and individuals who have partnered us through these awards over the years.

There is a review of the Dementia Festival of Ideas, downloadable materials for sharing, and videos to help people understand a wide range of dementia-related issues such as diagnosis and powers-of-attorney.  It also features a film about what happened in care homes during Covid 19. That film was made during lockdown by actors and producers who were working under strict regulations, each from their own homes, on equipment they had to hand. The resulting film was nominated for the Sundance Festival and clips featured on the BBC and at international conferences.

Look out for resources to help you support people with dementia through the arts. Take part in a digital game that can be used to test basic understanding of dementia. Find out more about the work done to create dementia friendly outdoor spaces. And more.

Please explore the site and tell us what you think of it. It is a work in progress. Let us know what you would like to see more of.  Ask us questions. And as all Trustees are charity volunteers, help us by spotting any mistakes, so we can correct them in the early days of this new resource we have created.

Everything we do is to support people with dementia and those who care for them. You can help us to do that.
